Courses
There are only three schools that have "Inquiry" courses in Yamagata prefecture
In the first year, all the Inquiry Course students study a common curriculum. From the second year, students select the International Inquiry Course or the Science and Mathematics Inquiry Course.
Course for Inquiry on Global Issues
Students study issues in humanities and social literature from a global perspective. They go to Tobishima island in their second year.
Course for Inquiry on Natural Sciences
Students study science and do science based research. In their second year, they go to Tsukuba city.
General Course students develop their own power
In the first year, everyone learns a common curriculum. From the second year, students can choose humanities or sciences.
There is less work to be done than in the Inquiry Course, and the students can take practice exams at their own discretion. They can also choose to do math in the science stream.
